End Of My Youth: Turning 30
Busy Day

Last night was an eventful one. I had taken a nap yesterday from 5:00 - 7:30 PM and it made it impossible to sleep. I was wide awake until 2:00 AM, at which point when I tried to sleep, Connor jumped up wanting to be fed. After feeding and changing him, and of course making a 3:00 AM strategic fantasy football playoffs free agent pick up, I had him back in bed. And by 3:30, he was fussing with gas. Changed his diaper again and finally, at 4:00 AM, he and I both fell asleep. Thankfully, Bridget let me sleep until 9:00!

Today we brought Connor to Nonna’s (My mom) house today. Bridget and I had some errands to run, and laundry to do so we dropped Connor off with my mom. He was great with her, and didn’t cry at all while we were gone. Nonna sang to him and he seemed to love it. It was weird to be out with Bridget and not have Connor with us, but it was also refreshing to go out to lunch with just the wife and I. I really love spending time with her!

After we got back, we hung out with my dad who had come home early from work because carpet was being installed in my old room, which is now called “Connor’s Room” in my parents house. The room has been totally redone. No more nasty green walls and carpet. Now the walls are a nice and neutral cream color with a light brownish gray carpet. We hung out with grandpa until Aunt Katie and Uncle Anthony arrived with pizza. They both were ecstatic to see and hold him. They got to see his Christmas Card/Birth announcement (which by the way was mailed out to everyone on Tuesday, you should have it by tomorrow). It was really nice to see everyone and Connor seemed to really enjoy the company.

Since back home, we had a nice skype chat with Aunt Casey and Uncle Rob. Connor was wide awake for the chat and was looking right at his aunt and uncle through the webcam. Technology is kinda cool these days (funny because I am sure that when Connor is old enough to read this, he will make fun of us for using skype and telling us that it is old school or archaic). Now it’s time to put together his first photo album as we had pic’s uploaded and printed out at CVS last night and picked them up today. Oh, one more thing! Connor got his first piece of mail today! I took a picture of it. It was his social security card. Kinda of cool. Catch you all tomorrow.
